BOOKS
In Destiny, there's a Resource List of books owned by the Wayland High School Library. The list also includes selected websites from WebPath Express. To find the list, go to the Wayland High School homepage, under Academics choose Library, click on Destiny, click on Resource Lists, click on China and change My Lists tab to Public Lists. Use the tabs in the top right to move between books and websites.
The Gale Virtual Reference Library (GVRL) also provides access to the full-text of many reference works. It will be helpful when researching these topics. If, while in China, you can access the library's webpage, GVRL is linked on the homepage and under the databases tab. You should be able to search it from the homepage. From the Database page, click on the link to the databases supplied by the state. The link says Massachusetts Statewide Databases. Then, choose GVRL from the alphabetical list of databases. Over 14,000 e-books appear when you search for China, so start by searching your specific topic. If your search doesn't produce results, remember to try other keywords. Go back and browse all the general books about China only if you have to. (Note: Command-F works within these books, so you can FIND the words you want on each page.
Google Books (books.google.com) and Google Scholar (scholar.google.com) may also be useful.
